SECRET PROJECT

21 Oct

So… the truth is that I have not been blogging lately, because I have been investing my time into a secret project. Hopefully this won’t be a secret for too much longer. And when I say not too much longer… it could be a couple of months or so.  :)    BUT soon enough my friends… patience.

But I will say that you will LOVE it!!! Well… hopefully.   :)

Until then………..

BRAINWASH

18 Oct

Even though Christmas is still 2 months away and my birthday is a little more than 2 months away… I know exactly what I want.

I find that as I get older it becomes a little bit more difficult to come up with “What do I want for Christmas/Birthday?”  Obviously, I don’t NEED anything, but family loves buying gifts for each other…. I’m guilty of this as well. I LOVE giving gifts.  It’s usually really hard for me to keep it a secret… just ask my mom.

So, this year, Philip and I have decided to only get each other one gift and the usual stocking stuffers.  We really just don’t need 10 or so gifts each… that’s just craziness.  HOWEVER… today I discovered exactly what it is I want for Christmas/Birthday/Valentines Day/Etc.  You might have guessed from my extensive amount of occasions listed that this gift is BIG! And when say BIG… I really mean expensive.  In my defense though, this is something VERY useful that has the potential to change my life.  Literally.

I’m sure you have heard me mention Laurent Clark a few times on this blog. She is an absolutely amazingly talented photographer.  LOVE her work.  Well, she is offering a group Brainwash in December and in January.  This is an amazing opportunity! If you don’t know what a Brainwash is… you can read about it HERE!

So… Yes, this is $800 (plus driving to Stillwater, OK), BUT this is a great opportunity to really jump-start a career.  A way for me to do something that I love while working from home, traveling with Philip, and the time to spend with my future family.   This could be amazing….

I’m HIGHLY doubting that we will be spending 800 bucks this year on Christmas gifts… the thought of that is actually making me laugh out loud right now.  But a girl can dream, right?  :)

LACK OF BLOGGAGE

12 Oct

I am extremely sorry for the lack of bloggage lately… things have been fun, crazy, busy, exciting, etc.  God is really working in us lately… so, although there is so much I could write about, there is little that I want to write about just yet.  Don’t you worry though, once all of these thoughts are processed a little bit more – I will share EVERYTHING!

I hope all of you are having a GREAT Fall so far… it has been absolutely BEAUTIFUL here is Austin.  Perfect ACL weather!

Only 27 Days until our 2 year anniversary… and only 45 Days until we are in Paris!!!

LIFE CHANGING

5 Oct

Ok… I told you yesterday about the incredible video that Jeremy Rodgers put together for the Sermon on Sunday. You MUST watch this video… ALL of it!

If you watch this and it doesn’t change your life even just a little bit, then maybe you need to watch it again. Seriously.  This is why I absolutely love my church.

GO!

Watch the video HERE!

ADOPTION

4 Oct

The national Together for Adoption conference was in Austin this year. Our church hosted the event and Philip and the guys were able to play worship. The weekend was incredible and we got to see a lot of friends and hang out.  I had a plan to write a whole long blog about the things we heard and learned, but that would just be FOREVER long.  So maybe I will skip that for now and just give you little bits of info here and there throughout the next few weeks.  Today I will just show you photos…

ALSO: On top of a GREAT weekend at the conference, Matt gave an absolutely incredible sermon yesterday… Philip and I have been so convicted about many things lately.  I would LOVE it if you guys would go now and listen to what we heard yesterday: listen HERE! The last 20 or so minutes of it are a SUPER moving video. Hopefully they will have video up soon, but for now you can listen and get somewhat of an idea. INCREDIBLE!

GO!
